Guild Guidelines
Bane is a dedicated raiding guild and we expect great things out of all our members. The ultimate goal in Bane is to progress through all the end game content WoW has to offer quickly and efficiently while also maintaining a friendly and fun environment.  Understanding the guidelines below is the first step in becoming a Bane member.

Most Bane 25 man raids start at 7:30PM server time with invites going out at 7:15. Primary raid days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sundays. Occasionally, a fourth night is added with a similar start time. 10 man raids are held on off nights.

Guild Rankings:
- Alt
- Evaluation
- Member
- Raiding Member
- Senior Raider
- Officer
- Guild Master (GM)

 Alts
Alts are allowed for Bane members with a ranking of Member or better. Each person may have 1 alt in the guild under level 80 at any given time. Alts need to be on the same account as the main.

Evaluation
As an evaluation we expect you to make a good impression and show us what you stand for. If you are a dedicated raider who makes themselves available and takes time to prepare for raids, you will not have a problem becoming a full fledged member of Bane. If you show up late to raids, show up unprepared, or do not show up at all, you will have your membership revoked. Evaluations who do not play their class correctly and show an unwillingness or inability to learn quickly will also be asked to leave.
Evaluation periods last no less than 2 weeks for new members of the guild.

You are also expected to maintain 100% raid attendance (including if you are asked to sit out) during your evaluation period. Failure to do so will result in immediate removal from the guild. You will have access to limited guild resources during this period but are expected to make a good impression on us to show why you deserve membership.

No Loot Priority - Evaluation members are not given loot priority during this period. If you are in a raid with other members, you should not expect to receive gear over a member if it is an item they need. With raids occurring several nights a week however, gearing up once you gain membership should not be an issue.

Member
Full membership will be offered to evaluations who have shown an ability to follow directions, show up to raids consistently and on time, and who have a positive attitude towards the guild and its rules. Full membership may be revoked if members fail to keep a high raid attendance, if they demonstrate a poor attitude, or if for any reasons officers believe the member is not performing as well as they should be.

Members may be required to respec if they do not have a viable raiding build (which are ultimately ruled on by the officers if no class leader is named). Members are also expected to be wearing PvE gear and may be asked to sit out if they come wearing PvP gear. Your gear should have the best enchants and gems available to you. The guild is spending a lot of time investing in every member, and it is your responsibility to do your part to assure smooth runs.

Limited guild bank items will be available to members at a reduced price (60% of the current AH average price).
Raiding Member
Raiding members have shown a dedication to raiding on a regular basis. They are reliable members who have proven themselves inside of 25 man content. These players have a slightly greater chance than members below them to receive loot via the loot council system. Again, these members must come to raids with a viable build, proper gear, and any other items that may be needed.
Raiding members may have their status removed if they come to raids unprepared, fail to show up at all, demonstrate a poor attitude, demonstrate a failure to prepare for an encounter, or overall do not fit the requirements for a raiding member.
Limited guild bank items will be available to raiding members at a reduced price (50% of the current AH average price).

Senior Raider
Senior members are members of the guild who have not only shown their ability to excel in 25 man content, but who also have shown an incredible dedication to Bane and it's goals. Dedication involves having a willingness to help others, showing up to almost every raid, showing respect to fellow guild members at all times, and generally being a positive example for the other members of the guild. This is the closest rank to being an officer a normal member can achieve and these are people you should be able to look to for advice should an officer not be available.
Senior Raiders have slightly higher chance than members below them to receive loot via the loot council system. Senior raider status can be removed if they come to raids unprepared, fail to show up at all, demonstrate a poor attitude, demonstrate a failure to prepare for an encounter, or overall do not fit the requirements for a raiding member.
Limited guild bank items will be available to senior raiders at a reduced price (40% of the current AH average price).

Officer

Officers should be looked at the same as a GM. They possess almost all of the same powers as a Guild Master and are Class Leaders. Officers have the ability to add and remove members and should be shown the utmost respect at all times. They will show you the same respect in return. Officers have a slightly higher chance to receive loot via the loot council system.

Guild Master
As guild master, my goal is to make sure all aspects of the guild are functioning as smoothly as possible. Everything from overseeing day to day operations to setting long-term goals for the guild will be part of my responsibilities. Making the final decision on loot council as well as casting decisive votes on guild policies will be handled by the GM.

Rules:
-
Registration with the guild site is not optional, it is required! The guild site provides information vital to the success of our guild and its raids. Please register on the site and check it regularly to get the most out of Bane.
- Respect your guild members at all times! This rule should be held in the highest regards. Disrespect will not be tolerated from any member of the guild regardless of rank. If you have problem with a member, message a guild officer or the GM for appropriate action.
- Be as active as possible in all aspect of the guild whether you are volunteering your profession for use to another member or are running heroics/raids with the guild.
- No ninja'ing loot, no harassment, no begging for help or items.
*Ninja'ing loot can include, but is not limited to, when you take a Bind on Pickup (BoP) item before anyone can roll for it, rolling on items your player can't use, etc... It is a very serious offense and it will ruin our reputation. If someone has ninja'd loot, take a screenshot of the person and talk to the officers. Ninja'ing loot will immediately result in the player's removal from the guild. Also do not loot an item until the raid leader has declared you the absolute winner, this is also considered ninja looting.
- Harassing players is when you repeatedly give player any unwanted attention when asked to stop.
- Begging is when you keep asking for items, gold, or assistance over and over from anyone (Guild member or not). This especially means not to whisper people repeatedly or tell someone to pass on an item. If that person contacts the officers, we will give you a warning, but if it happens again, we will consider a more serious punishment.
- Please refrain from talking in General Chat when we are raiding.  We want to keep our raids moving swiftly and efficiently and expect that you will concentrate on the task at hand as opposed to contemplating a witty comeback to the local troll.
*Congratulating another guild for their kill is acceptable, ridiculing them or any other player in the game is not.  If comments are being directed at our guild we will address them as the situation dictates.
- You are a representative of Bane and should act as a positive example at all times. Be conscious of what you post in the forums or what you say in game.
- Raiding is serious, but ultimately this is still just a game and should be fun. Don't get too worked up over little stuff such as items, ganking, and even raiding. You won't be much good to us if you are too stressed to perform.  Your full attention during raids is appreciated.

/GQuit
If you quit the guild for any reason we can not guarantee that you will be reaccepted. If you are reaccepted you will come back with the lowest guild status and be required to work your way back up. If you do not leave on good terms with the guild, you will not be eligible for re-entry. We would appreciate at least a two week notice if you have to quit for any reason, and it would be highly adviseable to talk to an officer before an official post is made. Some situations where you may see yourself as having to quit may be able to be worked through.

Raiding Rules:
Be on-time and Ready! You must have over 90% durability and be ready to head to the designated raid within a couple minutes.
If you are in need of an AFK during the raid, you must notify the Raid Leader or an officer and wait for an approved time to AFK. You must get your character to a designated spot before going AFK.
If you leave early from a raid without notice, it is highly recommended you have a good reason for doing so.  You risk losing member status and loot council consideration unless previous arrangements were made and approved by an officer. If you know you have to leave early, inform somebody before the start of the raid so we can factor this into our decision on who to bring.

Disrespecting Other Players/Guilds
Do not disrespect other players or other guilds. Your actions reflect back on Bane as a whole and affect our chances of maintaining a good reputation on this server. Depending on the severity of your actions, you may be denied loot, suspended from raids, dropped from your rank, or asked to leave the guild entirely.

Loot Hating
When a member receives an item in a raid, congratulate them even if you wanted the item and did not get it. We all are here to raid together and support one another. We will not tolerate disrespect to other members in this manner or in any other way. Refer to the disrespect guidelines for further explanation.
Raid Loot Rules:
- BoP patterns will be distributed based on member level. BoE patterns will be distributed to raiding members or above or sent to the guild bank for distribution or sale.
- A loot council decides the distribution of all other loot in raids. Loot council will use a combination of factors in making their decision including (but not limited to) guild ranking, raid attendance record, prior loot received, tier set pieces currently held, overall attitude and preparedness for raids, and a number of other factors. If you ever question a loot council decision, you are expected to still congratulate the member who received loot. You can address loot council queries after the raid through a private channel with an officer.
Ventrilo Channel:
- You must be using Vent when we are raiding
- You must be in the correct channel
- Do not bring outer guild people into Bane's vent unless you have gotten officer approval.
Raid Channel:
Keep talking to a minimum and related to the encounter at hand. If asked to clear the channel, stop all talking unless you have been ok'd to continue or have something that can not wait. We want to keep Vent as clear as possible so there will not be any confusion during an encounter. If you have any question please forward it to the Raid Leader or your Class Leader. All calls on battle rez, wipes, or other key decisions will be made by the raid leader(s).
There is no excuse to have an outburst in the raid channel or in raid chat. You will lose member status if you have such an outburst.

If you follow these guidelines you will have an enjoyable experience with your fellow members of Bane. Please use them as a point of reference for all of your problems. If you have any questions or concerns not addressed in this document, feel free to contact the GM or an Officer. Thank You and Welcome To Bane!
